Inexpensive Eye Brow Pencil to Die For!

Unfortunately! I ran out of my MAC Eye Brown Pencil and was in dier need of a back up pencil.  The closet MAC store is approximately 90 minutes away and I couldn't wait for UPS to deliver.

Therefore, I went to Target and searched the entire makeup department.  I looked at every brand for eyebrow pencils.  I found a few that looked alright but didn't have my shade.  I almost gave up until I found a a bunch of pencils in the wrong place under Rimmel London.  I found a shade that was close to my MAC Lingering and had to buy it.  It was only $3 and if the color was too dark, I could use for a natural eyeliner.

I was worried the product would turn out to be a dud. Until I tried it on in the mirror.

Rimmel London 002 Hazel  $3, Target

Rimmel London's Eyebrow Pencil in 002 Hazel is amazing! The color is even more similar to MAC's Lingering than I had originally thought.  The application is smooth and easy. I was so happy and became compelled to share with all.  This product is the treasure to my treasure hunt!

In the end, don't be afraid of drugstore makeup and try this inepensive eye pencil.

Laguna...not the beach!

It took me a while to decide what product to review next, but my friend from New Jersey made the final decision: Nars bronzer in Laguna.

In order to make the face appear thinner, you must contour and highlight different areas. (Watch this video for contouring and highlighting.)

Bronzer is the item you use to contour and create shadows.   Having a beautiful bronzer in your arsenal of make up is essential.

I use my Nars bronzer in Laguna almost every day.  It enables me to create several different looks: beachy, dramatic, soft, smokey, etc.  Laguna is the perfect for any occasion: daily use, weddings, prom, bars, etc.

Nars makes several gorgeous bronzers; however, Laguna is probably the most popular

Even though Laguna doesn’t have the best color pay-off out of all their bronzers, it’s soft and perfect for most skin tones.

I have a medium skin tone and require more Laguna than those with pale skin. The color is a shimmery, warm, light brown – it will not make you look orange, which is most important!

Laguna makes my skin look warm without making me look like I’m wearing tons of bronzer, which is why I love this product.

Obviously from my review, I rank Laguna as the overall best bronzer.  YAY!

Lip Junkie

I recently went to Sephora to buy Lancome’s Juicy Tube Lipgloss.  I enjoy having the sticky consistency to produce a wet-looking lip.  Unfortunately, Sephora didn’t have the color I wanted – waah.

The main reason why I love Sephora – they always have an amazing alternative.  I asked the stylist to recommend me a similar product and she showed me: Urban Decay Lip Junkie Lipgloss in Midnight Cowboy.

I love this product!! It has a mild cooling and plumping feature.  The color is also lovely – nude and sparkly.

I applied the product at 7:30 a.m. and my lips still feel moist at 10:40 a.m.

This color is perfect to amp-up a beachy look or to play down a sexy, smokey eye.

You MUST have this item!  Even the bottle is adorable and adorned with a cute cap with cut out designs.

The Purpose

The day before I graduated from the 8th grade, my mother taught me how to contour with eyeshadow.  She applied a drugstore golden shadow to my lid and a matte crimson red shadow to my crease.  I felt like a beauty queen.

This memory could be the reason why I fell in love with makeup.

I've donated countless dollars toward the beauty industry and have spent hundreds of hours in front of my vanity mirror practicing different looks and techniques.

In my spare time, I enjoy watching my favorite Youtube guru's, ripping out pages in magazines and spending time in Sephora.

There are many products I swear by and there are some I totally wasted my money on.  And the purpose of this blog is to share my opinion of what really works through my experiences.
